Agnes Talamantez Carroll is also on the faculty at
Red Rocks Community College and The Rocky Mountain
Education Center where she is a certified OSHA trainer and
qualified to teach in Spanish and in English.  She is also a business ESL / Spanish professor and Cultural Competencies trainer, responsible for most of the off-site corporate training.  She has been with them for the past six years.  She is also an adjunct professor in the Construction Management Program, Human Relations and Managerial Accounting at Redstone College.

Over the past 12 years, she has developed the small business training curricula in English and in Spanish for adults and youth businesses, and authored several workbooks.  She was the first in the country to write a curriculum in Spanish that is not just a translation, but written in a culturally sensitive manner.  Many of these workbooks are used in various training programs across the country, coast-to-coast. She also certified by FastTracks, and was a contributing author of the NXLevel Entrepreneurial Training Curriculum developed by the University of Colorado, where she interned under Dr. Robert Horn in Community Economic Development. 

Agnes has worked with Corona Research over the past six years as a bilingual Hispanic moderator and outreach person.  As part of her work in over 10 consulting projects with Corona, Agnes has performed in several areas:  Cultural competence consulting; bilingual facilitation of group discussions; translated transcripts production; and successful recruitment of a variety of Hispanic research participants.  Agnes has succeeded due to a unique combination of interpersonal skills, ability to inspire trust in the target audience, and an attention to detail in all work performed.  Satisfied customers across the country include, Ford Motor Company, Qwest, Dex, Arvizu Advertising & Promotions, Heinrich Marketing, and many government agencies at all levels.

As President and founder of ATC Associates, Agnes is responsible for the overall operations of the business including; strategic and financial planning, business development community connections, quality control and assurance, and staffing/personnel management. She is also a trainer and a technical assistance provider/consultant.

A product has been added to the menu in renewable energy careers.  ATC has partnered with pioneers in this industry who together will produce a curriculum to be available as self-paced training as videos on the Adams County workforce development website.  They will be offered for free and bilingually.  These will be available in January 2009.  ATC joins Adams County in its goal to place 800 individuals in jobs in 2009.               

She has spent the last five years studying social entrepreneurship and social investment and has modeled her company to reflect this philosophy and values. Agnes has owned five successful businesses over a period of 25 years, including a management consulting/training firm and a marketing group. She started her first business, a tamale business, at age 16. She brings to her training her experience and innovation, together with her passion for business, and her personal mission to empower others, especially those in the Hispanic community.

Her latest project is a radio program, “¡Arriba! Mi Negocio” which airs each week on KLVZ 810AM Mi Camino where she is known as “Doña Inéz.”  It is a Spanish language program that gives advice for small business owners by interviewing successful role models.
